Since our establishment we have controlled a number of restoration projects on rural
properties and consequently developed quite a reputation in this field. We are known
to have extensive experience and specialist expertise in the renovation of period
and listed buildings.
One contract we were involved in concerned a Grade 2 listed property situated within
the Brecon Beacons National Park. It had been damaged extensively by fire and required
some very particular skills, especially to restore some of the more intricate period
features of the property. For instance, our carpenters had to recreate archways
in timber in order to match perfectly what was there once before.
Another property we worked on was a 16th Century Grade 2 listed Farmhouse building
in the picturesque setting of Glascoed near Usk. For this contract we had to extend
the building whilst perfectly matching the stonework of the original. We then renovated
the farmhouse ensuring that all work conformed to the period and style, and for
this we worked closely with CADW who monitored our progress to confirm that all
renovations matched the style of the period.
